The ever popular, fab four from Herne Bay were inspired by the energy of Britpop and formed during the spring of 94.
The Lost Weekend hit the ground running, skilfully reproducing classics from the Jam, Small Faces, the Kinks and the Beatles, closely followed with new songs of the time by the likes of Oasis, Blur and Supergrass. All still regulars in todays set, forming a rich variety of songs that have influenced generations.
MICK WARE
> guitar, vocals
Herne Bay born and bred, Mick is The Lost Weekend's true voice. With the dulcet tones of Paul Weller and the handsome ruggedness of Peter Beardsley, this former footballing icon can now be seen at his local primary school, armed with his acoustic guitar hosting sing-a-long-assembly sessions. With a limp and a strum Mick is fast becoming a Herne Bay living legend.
MARK ANTHONY
> bass
Quietly committed to delivering the most fluid bass lines, Mark is so hip, his energy is not to be underestimated - an athlete who will keep on running. Mark’s knowledge of music is first class, with deep-seated MOD roots he stamps his mark on the Lost Weekend sound.
ROB PACKMAN
> guitar, vocals
The new kid since 2006, this old fella can sing. Rob-the-Mod will also strum, shake and blow to keep the sound, erm, interesting. The harmonies come naturally to Rob and whilst mildly OCD, a clean sound and polished performance are always guaranteed.
PAUL HUGHES
> drums
Paul is the creative muscle behind the Lost Weekend. With little natural musical ability, his desire to hit things has finally taken a productive path. Fast rhythms and fast cars drive Paul on, he is a human metronome who can perform Olympic standard gurning whilst smashing a solid backbeat.
